THE LIFE and work of Barnsley-born journalist and broadcaster Sir Michael Parkinson was honoured at an event held by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts this week.
Sir Michael found the roles reversed when he was interviewed by Kirsty Young for BAFTA A Life in Television.
A Life In Television is a strand of live, on-stage events which celebrate leading figures from the world of television, shining a light on their talent and contribution to British television and culture.
It has previously hosted actor and presenter Michael Palin, journalist and broadcaster Sir Trevor McDonald and actress Julie Walters.
