A LUNDWOOD teenager is representing Great Britain in a bike trials competition this weekend.
Yesterday Stephen Thompson, 16, left for Blansko in the Czech Republic where he will spend two days riding over rocky terrain and through waterfalls.
Stephen, of Lund Avenue, was selected through the clubs that he rides for Bike Trial UK, Tykes and the Huddersfield Falcons.
He started doing bikes trials as a novice eight years ago and has worked his way up to the expert class. He will be competing against other riders from all over the world.
The former Priory School pupil, who is awaiting his GCSE results, was due to compete last year when the competition was held in Spain but broke his arm the week before.
