A WOMBWELL dance school had a spring in its step after taking home a heap of festival awards.
Students at Rachel’s Academy of Dance, on Hough Lane, won medals and trophies in various categories at the Barnsley Festival of Dance at Barnsley Academy.
Principal and dance school owner Rachel Whitham said: “Many of my young students who are doing so well now, joined us in November 2013 and their recent success is down to the hard work that they and my dedicated teachers have put in - without forgetting the unstinting commitment of all of our parents, of course.
“It was lovely to see them all dance so well and have such pride in their performances. Most of all, dancing is about really having fun with routines and seeing what we can create together.”
