CORONATION Street star Kym Marsh has made little Aalish Naylor’s dream come true by inviting her for a tour of the famous cobbled street.
Aalish, who has undergone gruelling cancer treatment for neuroblastoma, had longed to meet Kym, who plays Rovers Return landlady Michelle.
Her dream came true after a friend of Kym’s saw a Facebook post by Aalish’s mum Jo and Kym even showed her round on her day off.
Jo, 40, of Hawthorne Crescent, Dodworth, said: “It was absolutely brilliant and Aalish thoroughly enjoyed it.
“Kym was amazing. She crouched down on her knees and gave Aalish a big cuddle and it was like they had known each other for years.”
Aalish, seven, visited Roy’s Rolls, Audrey’s salon, Dev’s coroner shop, the garage, the kebab shop, and of course, the Rovers Return where she posed with Kym and brother Jack, ten, behind the bar.
Aalish is currently having tests having undergone immunotherapy treatment.
Her family are hoping to result come back clear and Aalish can ring the bell at the children’s hospital to signal she is in remission.
Kym has asked to be kept informed.
