A CALL to arms to tackle rubbish in the area has been put out by a local councillor.
North East Area Coun Dorothy Higginbottom said the work of a monthly voluntary tidy group in Great Houghton is going well, with the team collecting 15 bags of waste in their latest sweep of the village.
But she said a bigger change could really be seen if volunteers could be found from every street.
