A CUDWORTH car wash currently operating on a temporary licence has applied for permanent permission - just two months after it was knocked back by planning bosses.
The business, on Pontefract Road, was unsuccessful in its first bid in April when Barnsley Council’s planning board members opted to reinstate an 18-month term, which the car wash previously had up until its expiration.
But now the business has submitted another planning application - this time with a series of improvements to allay councillors’ worries about spray affecting nearby properties.
Higher screens, a bigger boundary fence, roofs over two washing bays and a new planting scheme with trees to shelter properties now form the basis of the latest application.
