LITTLE Alannah Barlow is preparing for her first taste of the red carpet treatment.
She's off to London next week to watch the premiere of 'And When Was the Last Time You Saw Your Father?' - and she's in it.
Shawlands school pupil Allanah appears alongside stars Colin Firth and Jim Broadbent. The film is about Yorkshire poet Blake Morrison and Allanah, of Park Street, Barnsley, plays the role of his young sister with Broadbent as her father.
This summer while her school mates were getting bored in Barnsley she was put up in hotels for three weeks while the film was being shot.
It is Allanah's first major role and she loved the experience.
"I did lots of scenes and did some speaking parts. It was really exciting and I got to see what famous people really do.
"I had my photo taken with Colin Firth, Jim Broadbent, Juliette Stevenson and Sarah Lancashire." Now Allanah is looking forward to the Leicester Square premiere and is busy deciding what to wear - as is proud mum, Nicky, who enjoyed the filming as much as Allanah.
She said: "We lived in hotels in London for three weeks, it was out of this world. Being treated like a star is unreal.
"It was a proper come down when we had finished."
