A HOMELESS veteran living in woodland on the outskirts of Barnsley has been found a new home after help from a former sergeant major who is in the process of setting up a drop in centre to help troubled armed forces veterans.
Gavin Felton announced his plans for a new centre through the Chronicle back in March and since then has been inundated with hundreds of messages of support, thanks and help, and requests from veterans needing support with a variety of problems.
The centre is due to be open by September but Gavin has already secured one great result for a homeless veteran.
“It was actually came about through the last article in the Chronicle,” said Gavin, 47, of Merchant Croft, Monk Bretton.
