THE MANAGEMENT bill for running the town’s healthcare was £7m last year, according to Barnsley Primary Care Trust's annual report.
The cost equates to £31 per resident and has gone up by £400,000 on the year before.
Exact details of chief executive Ailsa Claire's salary were not available but it went from £115,000 -£120,000 to £125-£130,000, her third consecutive rise.
Ms Claire was the only executive director to jump pay bands, her pension also rose in value by £55,000 to £691,000.
Director of public health Dr Paul Redgrave received the biggest pension boost, a £182,000 increase in value to £423,000.
PCT chairman Tom Sheard saw his salary rise from between £20,000 -£25,000 to £25,000 - £30,000. None of the other non-executive members of the board received an increase in pay.
