A COUNCIL boss is to give an update on a troubled nightclub that was stripped of its licence following a catalogue of problems.
The licensing regulatory board meets on Wednesday when members will be given a report on the current position regarding the premises licence for Whispers on Regent Street.
It comes after Chris Palmer, who is the licence holder and owner of the club, lodged an appeal in April against the revocation. The club has been able to trade since then but has remained shut.
A two-day hearing is expected on September 25.
