THOUSANDS of people from all over Barnsley and further afield turned out for Penistone Show on Saturday - despite very mixed weather.
Show manager Nicholas Hoyland was pleased with the turnout and early fears the show would have to be called off due to weather were unfounded.
Improvements to drainage and metal road protectors helped make sure the show ground held up against the elements, and sunshine broke out later in the day ensuring there were large crowds until the end.
Entertainment was provided throughout the day alongside the traditional attractions and displays of agricultural produce and livestock.
