Cannon Hall went back to the 18th century this week when it was transformed into a film set for a period drama.
‘Lost in Austen’ tells the story of a modern day woman in London who goes back in time to the setting of Pride and Prejudice and swaps places with Elizabeth Bennet.
The estate was chosen for a crucial scene where Amanda meets Darcy for the first time and the couple share a dance at the Meryton Assembly Ball.
Line producer Brett Wilson, who lives on Dodworth Road, Barnsley said the hall was perfect for the scene.
