BIG Brother called kids from Darfield into the diary room last week to ask them how to improve Darfield.
It was a new spin to the Young People’s Area Conference and organisers say the kids had plenty to say. Amy Burd and Olivia Churchill sat in the diary room chair together and had plenty to say.
Amy, 13, of Maran Avenue, said: “I think they should make it safer ready for if it floods again because the floods were really bad. They should build up the banks of the river.”
When asked what they liked about Darfield, at first they said ‘nothing really’ but then Amy said she liked PCSO Matt Shaughnessy from the Safer Neighbourhood Team.
Community engagement officer Claire Pearson said: “ We’re going to make a DVD with all their suggestions.”
