THE roads have now re-opened following this morning's discovery of a World War Two shell.
Police had cordoned off Old Mill Lane and Wakefield Road.
They were called to the scene at 9.45am after the shell was found in the canal at the back of Asda.
It has since been removed by the explosive ordnance disposal unit.
