A PROJECT manager who turned her hand to cooking has won herself a place on Masterchef.
Anna Mycoe of Well House Grange, Hoylandswaine, beat off hundreds of applicants to bag a place on the revamped show.
She has always loved cooking and is a big fan of the show.
“I have watched it for years and kept talking about applying so eventually I did it online and within 24 hours I was auditioning for the show in London.
“It was like the scariest interview I've ever had but I thought it had gone OK and by the time I got back up to Barnsley I got a call to say I’d got on.”
Just a few weeks later Anna, who works for a construction company, was back in London filming for the series.
She said: “It was a surreal experience, it all happened so fast. Just before filming started I was going on holiday so I was sat on the beach reading cookery books.
