POLICE might need a fairy godmother to find the owner of this lot.
While they might be warm and soft to touch - not glass - a Cinderella -style hunt is underway to find out who these slippers belong to.
Officers have recovered all sorts of stolen property including, fishing tackle, bikes, Sky boxes and gardening equipment. But it is the slippers that have caused a stir at Barnsley station.
Sergeant Derek Barker said the station has been awash with comments about pumpkins, ugly sisters and Buttons.
But despite the jokes he said the unusual appeal was serious.
