BRIAN Green and sisters Joyce Waite and Ruby Gosling shared an emotional reunion this week when they saw each other together for the first time in 20 years.
Joyce and Ruby who live in Australia were flying back to visit Brian, of Cubley Rise Road, on Monday when their plane had engine problems and was forced to land in Istanbul.
But 13 hours later than planned they touched down on home soil for the five week reunion trip. The trio said it was fantastic and there were lots of hugs, kisses and laughter at the airport.
Joyce, 69, said: "It is lovely to see each other, we keep in touch over the phone but it's not the same. We were holding everyone up at the airport when we were saying our hellos." Joyce emigrated to Australia with her late husband Michael in 1967. Ruby, husband Phillip and their two daughters went to visit in 1980 and decided not to come back.
