BARNSLEY is on flood alert this weekend after the Environment Agency issued a floodwatch warning on the river Dearne and its tributaries.
Flooding is expected in low lying land and roads between Denby Dale and Mexborough. The warning was issued at 1pm on Friday. Fire crews were also on flood alert.
