A DOUBLE whammy wedding day was held when two Cudworth sisters tied the knot in Whitby.
Vicky and Kay Ellis have visited the beauty spot every year with family since 1996 and were married in a double ceremony at the Cross-Butts Stables Hotel.
Vicky, 41, of Low Cudworth Green was married to Lee Anglesea, and Kay, 36, was married to Ryan Bailey. They are the daughters of George and Marlene Ellis of Firth Avenue.
Vicky said she and Kay were close and had made the decision on a previous trip. She added: "We love it in Whitby. We have been to the Cross-Butts lots of times for lunch a just said 'how about a double wedding here next year?"
Although it rained, the wedding ran smoothly and Vicky said: "It was absolutely fantastic." Both couples hired cottages and stayed in Whitby for their honeymoon.
