DOES your pooch have what it takes to be crowned Barnsley’s best-looking hound in the Chronicle’s Dandy Dog competition?
We are kicking off the search for a successor to the 2005 winner, lovely Labrador Bracken.
There are a host of prizes supplied by the official sponsor to this year’s competition, Vets4Pets of Wilthorpe Road, including £500 of vet’s fees to the winner, and vaccinations for life worth £250 to the runner up. Details of further prizes will follow.
To enter, fill in the entry form in this week’s Chronicle and return it to our offices at 47 Church Street, S70 2AS along with a picture of your dog with its name on the back.
If you would like the photo returned, remember to include a name and address along with a stamped addressed envelope.
We also want to hear if your pet has any unusual habits or strange tastes, so drop us a line with your entry and tell us about their canine capers.
Entries need to be in by 5pm on Wednesday August 30, and every dog will be included in a supplement published on Friday September 8.
A shortlist of finalists will then be chosen and readers can vote for their favourite.
