THE care home in Brierley could be rebuilt if permission is granted by the council.
London- based firm Flagswan Two Ltd has submitted plans to knock down Bollingbroke House on Common Road and build another in its place with parking and landscaping.
But the site is in a conservation area and the company has not consulted neighbours or the community. Care manager Julie Cross said: "This building needs a lot of money spending on it and it will be easier to build a new one."
