THE Chronicle's Dandy Dogs competition is here again.
So it's time to dig out your snaps of your cute canine and send them in. Some top prizes have been lined up for the winner and runners up.
Vets4Pets are the main sponsors and will be offering the winning dog £500 worth of free veterinary treatment. Nine runners-up will receive a single free booster vaccination.
The Mall Barnsley are offering the owner of the winning dog a £100 gift card to spend at shops at The Mall, with two runners-up each receiving a £50 gift card.
Stan Plus Stan 2 professional photographers on Shambles Street are offering a session for the winning dog and a 12x10 photograph worth £170. Nine runners up will also get a session and a framed 5x7 picture worth £100.
B and C Paperchain of Eldon Street North will give the owner of the winning dog a wines and spirits hamper worth over £150.
Regan, a young cocker spaniel, was last year's deserving winner and owner Louise Melling said Regan loved the attention
She said: "Even when you don't enter your own dog it is nice to see the others. It is a great competition."
To be in with a chance of your dog being crowned Barnsley's dandiest dog simply fill in the entry form and send it to us along with a recent good quality photograph of your pet.
The closing date for entries is Thursday May 21 at 5pm and a supplement with the final 40 will be published allowing the public to vote for their favourite.
A final with the ten top dogs will be held at the Metrodome on Monday June 22.
