THE family of a woman who survived four heart attacks in two days say it is a miracle she is still alive. Hannah Dransfield, 93, was rushed to hospital following the first attack at her home in Woodhall Flats, Darfield.

Staff at Barnsley hospital warned family that due to the severity of the attacks she could be hours away from death.

Granddaughter Tresa Sylvester, 45, said: "I felt her pulse getting fainter and then suddenly it picked up again.

"I am a nurse and have cared for people up to their death - all the symptoms were there - it just wasn't her time to go."

Mrs Dransfield later told her family that she had been visited by her deceased sister Dorothy Snowball who told her to go back to her family.

Mrs Sylvester said: "I am not a religious person but I believe there is an after life now. "We are so grateful to all the staff at the hospital for the excellent care and support they gave us all."

Mrs Dransfield is still receiving hospital care but is said to be recovering well.
