A CUNDY Cross student is in the early stages of the Miss England contest.
Demi Reynolds, 18, will know if she has progressed after May 26 when voting is completed. Her photograph on which she will be judged was taken in London at the weekend.
Demi, of Grange Crescent is in the second year of a beauty therapy course at Barnsley College.
She said: "I think I have a good chance. It was brilliant when I found out I had been selected for the first round of the contest.
"I decided to enter the contest about two weeks ago. I was ecstatic when I found out I had got to the first stage."
