CAN any of our readers identify a couple enjoying a holiday at the seaside?
The pair looked relaxed sitting in their deck chairs, but it is not known where the photograph was taken or when.
It was submitted to the Chronicle by Angela Pogson of Huddersfield who believes there may be a Barnsley connection.
She received it in a package from Royal Mail which contained a letter written by her. They returned the letter to her because the envelope had inadvertently been opened during transit.
However, along with it were photographs, including the one shown, which she is trying to return to the owner.
A piece of paper with the photographs referred to the name of Remington. "I contacted a Mr Remington in Bradford and he put me in touch with his daughter in London. A Lily Remington was a name mentioned on the piece of paper and Mr Remington's daughter believed her uncle in Barnsley may know who the owners of the photographs are."
If anyone recognises the couple on the photograph which would lead us to tracing the owner of the photographs, please contact Kath Parkin, Barnsley Chronicle, Editorial Department, 47, Church Street, Barnsley.
