ALL waste and recycling collections have been suspended with binmen sent out to help with gritting and snow clearance.
Barnsley Council says grey bins due for collection this week will now be collected instead of the green bin next week. Followed by the grey bin again the week after on the scheduled collection day.
Green bins will not be collected until the next scheduled collection between January 19 and 23. Collections of paper glass and cans will resume during the same period.
A spokesman said the rural collection service had been 'particularly badly hit'. Any grey bins not collected this week will be collected instead of the green bin next week.

In Penistone an additional grey bin collection is being arranged for next week instead of the green bin. Any residents with clinical waste should put it out next week.
