NIGHTMARE neighbours abandoned their house a month after police sent a warning letter about their rowdiness.

Police say the terraced property was being used like a youth club and was attracting dozens who would hang around boozing.

Residents on Bridge Street have had to put up with months of drunkenness, noise and fighting. Police have carried out drugs searches at the property.

One sergeant said it was the worst nuisance neighbour case he had dealt with.

But the trouble-causers left on Monday and the house has been boarded up. A neighbour said it was like the street had gone back to how it was ten years ago.
