A WOMAN survived a 30-foot fall because she had a few drinks.

Gemma Beverley, 28, of Castle View, Dodworth, said it was ‘a miracle’ she was alive after being found on Westway, near the Pitt Street bridge, with a fractured back, neck, ribs, elbow and pelvis.

She said she woke up in hospital at about 4am on a Saturday with no memory of how she got there, assuming she had been run over.
