Staff at Barnsley football club have been clearing snow and ice from the Oakwell car parks and pavements as the Reds prepare for Saturday's local derby with Sheffield United.

The club has also brought in a tractor to make the side roads in and around the ground passable for traffic.

The Oakwell pitch has undersoil heating, so the Reds are confident that the battle with the Blades will go ahead.

Mark Robins and his players have been using the Academy indoor complex to train.
