ROADS across Barnsley are dangerous because of the snow, police have warned.
The force issued a warning urging motorists to take care and the Chronicle has had reports of treacherous conditions from across the borough.
PC Paul Davies, an SNT officer based at Hoyland, said in a twitter message that there had been numerous accidents around Elsecar and Hemingfield.
One motorist said Roebuck Hill at Jump was closed because of the snow. It was also reported that there had been an accident on Fish Dam Lane, Monk Bretton.
