Hugo Colace's Barnsley FC future is in doubt after the Argentinean midfielder held crunch talks with his club manager Mark Robins this week.

The Oakwell boss met with Colace and his representative who flew in from South America. Robins questioned the player's recent performances and the 27-year-old is now available on loan.

For his part, Colace has insisted he will fight for his place.

"I did most of the talking" said Robins. "It went a lot like this: 'You are not playing well enough. You need to knuckle down and get back to the form you were showing last season."
