The dispute at Barnsley College will run into the autumn despite ‘management climb-downs’ which mean no lecturers face compulsory redundancy.
There is still anger that scores of teaching staff have been ‘forced’ into taking voluntary severance packages or will be re-employed in similar roles but for significantly less.
Lee Short, joint branch secretary of lecturers’ union UCU, said there would be a branch meeting at the start of the new term in September.
College principal Colin Booth said the UCU strikes had not forced a climb-down.
“The college has always been committed to finding alternative employment for staff at risk of redundancy where possible.”
