A mum was terrified her baby would die after he was born on a toilet floor with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck.
Bobby Jewitt was not breathing when Victoria, 27, gave birth to him at home two weeks ago. She had been having regular contractions when husband Darrell took her to Barnsley Hospital on September 20.
But she said hospital staff told them to come back when her labour was more advanced. The mum-of-three had just got home when her waters broke and Bobby arrived minutes later.
“Our first reaction was what do we do? Obviously none of us had any midwifery experience. I was scared to death and so were my husband and mum.“
