A couple has started a magic club in memory of their three-year-old daughter who died of cancer.
Darron and Meayla Woodward set up Ace’s Magic group for children and adults interested in practising the art.
They became children’s entertainers after daughter Briony was diagnosed with nueroblastoma, a cancer of specialised nerve cells, when she was 18 months old.
“We went to Scotland on holiday and there was a clown doing magic and she loved him,” said Darron, 34, of Victoria Street, Stairfoot.
“She said she wanted daddy to do magic so I bought my magician kit. That’s how it all started.”
The club meets at the Polish Club, Summer Lane, Barnsley, every fortnight starting on Monday at 6pm.
