OFFICERS from Barnsley West’s Neighbourhood Policing Team have been working with the fire service following reports of antisocial behaviour and fires in the Dodworth and Gilroyd area.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We take the reports of fire starting seriously.
“Two youths have admitted to starting the fires, and as result have been referred through to a scheme with SYFR to educate them on the on dangers of fires, they will also be working with the youth offending team and placed on acceptable behaviour contracts.
“If you see any youths starting fires, at this location or anywhere else, please contact the police or fire service.”
