POLICE are appealing for information following a single-vehicle collision in Pogmoor which has left a teenager fighting for his life in hospital.

Police were called to Pogmoor Road last Friday at 5.31am following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle.

It is believed the rider of the motorcycle, a 17-year-old boy, left the carriageway and collided with a wall.

No other vehicles were involved and no other injuries were reported.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains.

His family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.

A police spokesperson said: “As our investigation progresses into the circumstances, we are now asking for any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
