BARNSLEY woman Imogen Wolff finished third in the ‘youth classification’ and 13th overall in the Tour of Britain this week.

Imogen, 19, from Silkstone Common, finished 37th in the first stage then 13th, eighth and 19th in the next four.

The 423k route went from North Yorkshire to Glasgow from last Thursday until Sunday.

Imogen posted on social media: “Tour of Britain done. A mixed bag of results, but racing at home in front of my friends and family was memorable.”

The former world junior champion is in her first season as a professional cyclist with Visma Lease-a-bike.

The women’s Giro d’Italia and Tour de France are due to take place in July.
