TV presenter Sam Nixon will host an acoustic charity night in Monk Bretton.
Sam, who is originally from Monk Bretton, has organised the evening at The Norman Inn from 7.30pm on Wednesday, April 18.
The night is in aid of Whizz-Kidz, the charity which Sam and his co-presenter Mark Rhodes are both patrons of. The evening will feature music from local acts and a comedian.
Sam said: “I’m really looking forward to putting on an acoustic night at The Norman.
“Whizz-Kidz is a fantastic charity and one that is very close to both me and Mark.
“We have some great local talent performing and I called in a favour from my friend Iain Sterling who is a fellow CBBC presenter and stand-up comedian to run the show.
“It should be a fun laid back night. Come along and bring the family.”
Sam and Mark with both compete in the London marathon later this month, again to raise money for Whizz-Kidz.
This is despite the fact that Sam picked up a serious injury when taking part in Dancing On Ice earlier this year.
Tickets can be purchased in advance from The Norman or on the night.
Money can be donated here.
