THOUSANDS of locals flocked to the town centre on Saturday as Barnsley Live returned once again.
Hundreds of acts performed at more than 20 venues in a bid to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance service.
Despite some patches of rain, residents came together as they always do to support the cause.
A spokesperson for the event said: “A massive thank you to our amazing Barnsley Live family.
“Every single one of them is a volunteer, giving up their time, energy, and sleep to help make the magic happen.
“This festival simply wouldn’t exist without you.
“Huge thanks also to all the brilliant bands and musicians, the sound engineers, bar staff, security teams, Barnsley Council, our wonderful sponsors, and every generous business that donated supplies to keep our volunteers going - we appreciate you more than you know.
“And of course - thank you.
“Every single person who came out to support, dance, sing, cheer, and celebrate with us.
“You make this all worth it.”
