THE BARNSLEY Junior League reached a conclusion this week with various clubs across the town adding silverware to their collections.

Rockingham under 13s beat Cawthorne by four runs to clinch the eight-a-side league title.

Lucy Kay and Arthur Rose top-scored then Keeva Bell took two wickets. James Haslam made Cawthorne’s best score.

Penistone under 13s won by three runs at Darfield. Ben Durkan top-scored for Penistone and Rory Care took two wickets for Darfield.

Higham under 13s beat Darton.

Darton’s Noah Saunders top-scored then Robert Wynn took two wickets for no runs. Zac Winder made Higham’s best score after Sonny Sixsmith took two wickets.

Silkstone United under 13s beat Kexborough by a run.

Thomas Gravil made Silkstone’s best score while there were two wickets each for Kexborough’s William Fletcher and Darcey Ashmore.

Penistone under 11s won a title decider at Darton. The two teams were level on points at the start of the game.

David Moore took two wickets for three runs then Yven Turner and Stanley Foster top-scored. Darton’s best score was made by Ellis Gough.

Rockingham under 11s shared the title after winning at Sprotbrough, with Zunaira Chavan seeing them home.

Cawthorne under 11s beat Elsecar.

Fred Woodward made the best batting score – hitting 23 off ten balls with two sixes – then took three wickets with Toby Ramsbottom claiming two.

Wombwell Main under 11s Orange defeated Higham, a seventh win from seven this season which left them top of Division B.

Freddie Galloway took two wickets then Alister Claydon top-scored. George Burkinshaw struck twice for Higham.

Darfield under 11s beat Monk Bretton by six runs. J Parry made Darfield’s best score. D Shaw took two wickets for the Monks and A Shepard for Darfield.

Worsbrough Bridge under 11s won at Penistone Lions. There were two wickets each for Zac Jessop, Noah Musgrave and Louie Kelly. Finley Jackson made Penistone’s best score then Harry Lindley took two wickets.

Division C table-toppers Wombwell Main under 11s Blue won at Houghton Main.

Darton under 11s Sikas won at Higham Hurricanes. Oscar Tindall and Gabriel Barnes took two wickets each for Darton and Jackson Lees for Higham.

Silkstone United under 11s beat Cawthorne. Stirling Hennessy and Jos Thornhill made Silkstone’s best scores then Hennessy and Sonny Smith took two wickets. Cawthorne’s Jack Thornton took four wickets then he and James Richardson top-scored.

Barnsley Woolley Miners under 15s won at Upper Haugh to clinch the title.

Isaac Wilkes top-scored for Barnsley who have won all seven games.

Wath under 15s won at Penistone.

Josh Burrows top-scored for Wath then Frankie Beachill took three wickets.

Elsecar under 15s beat Rockingham by a run. Alfie Rowbottom top-scored for Elsecar then Archie Pearce took two wickets. Rock’s Milo Bell and Muhammed Abbas struck twice then their best score came from William King.

Darton under 15s beat Monk Bretton by 46 runs, with Corey Dooler impressing with the bat.

For Monk Bretton, Joe Swallow struck twice then Zac Cooper top-scored.

Penistone under 15s won at Higham. Daniel Riley made Penistone’s best score then Sullivan Croudy took three for six.

Higham’s Jacob Hartley and Will Grainger offered resistance with the bat.

In the under 13s cup, Cawthorne under 13s beat Silkstone.

Harry Butterworth, Ryan Hubery, Jack Shaw and Josh Stead top-scored then Butterworth took two for six. Joshua Dunning made Silkstone’s best tally.

Darton under 13s defeated Darfield. Lucy Hunter top-scored then there were two wickets each for Robert Wynn and Nikhil Narula, as well as Darfield’s Haneesh Pirabakaran.

Jack Dalton took three for three in Penistone under 13s’ win at Higham.

Charlie Richards claimed two wickets then Daniel Riley hit seven fours in his 33 not out. Josh Heeley top-scored for Higham.

Keegan Kilner took four for six as Worsbrough Bridge under 13s won at Monk Bretton.

Freya Kemp claimed two wickets after Charlie Alderton made Bridge’s best score. Joe Swallow took two wickets for the Monks then made their best score.

Rockingham under 13s won at Upper Haugh.

Zunaira Chavan made their best score.
