HOYLANDSWAINE returned to the top of the Huddersfield Premiership after Arron Lilley made a remarkable 124 not out off 40 balls in their win at Barkisland.

Lilley – the former Lancashire and Leicestershire player – hit 11 fours and 11 sixes in Swaine’s 416 for four off their 50 overs.

Ben Kohler-Cadmore and Luke Bridges both made 52 and Harpreet Singh added 88 while Samit Patel hit 70.

Former England player Patel then took five wickets and Max Morley four as the hosts were all out for 128.

Swaine have won 14 of 15 completed league games, putting them two points clear of second-placed Rastrick who lost this week.

They have six games left.

Conference leaders Hoylandswaine 2nd XI dismissed Upperthong for 148 in a nine-wicket win.

Suleman Khan took seven wickets then Matt Higgins (85 not out) and Callum Honeyman (57 not out) secured the win.

Then Hoylandswaine 2nd XI won the all-Barnsley final of the Crowther Cup against Cawthorne 2nd XI this week.

Captain Callum Honeyman took four wickets to bowl Cawthorne out for 145 then added 63 not out with Faisal Irfan scoring an unbeaten 62.
