AN author from Wath has released another book - but it is one he never intended to write.
Phil Reeder’s first book, ABIS (America Back Into Space) was intended to be a one-off.
It also included almost 500 pieces of his artwork.
Phil, who spent some time training with NASA around 20 years ago, said: “I never intended for ABIS to have a follow-on.
“The plan was to simply run with the idea of how to take ABIS after the end of the space shuttle programme in literary form on a journey which took America firstly back into space into Earth orbit and from there on a close fly-by mission to the planet Venus then onwards to Mars for the creation on the Martian surface of the first scientific colony base.”
It’s Phil’s sixth book which also included his autobiography ‘From Coal Miner to Astronaut’.
