Barnsley have reportedly made a big to bring back their former loan star John McAtee from Bolton Wanderers on another loan.
The forward scored 15 goals on loan from Luton during the 2023/24 season, helping the Reds to the League One play-off semi-final which they lost to Bolton.
He then joined the Trotters for a reported £1million last year and scored 12 goals last season as well as the equaliser at Oakwell last month in a 1-1 draw.
But he has not featured in recent games and the Reds have submitted a bid to bring him back on loan which is being considered, according to the Bolton News.
