London’s notorious Brixton is looming large on the horizon for Junktion 37 - who will soon play their first gig in the capital there. But not before trying to lift a Battle of the Bands title.
They are taking part in the contest at Birdwell Club and lead guitarist Kev Dearnley described the band as “a bit dangerous”, and says they lean a bit towards the heavier side of Indie/rock music.
He said: “We certainly don’t do tame Indie music.”
The Small Faces, Led Zeppelin and the Stone Roses are all named as influences for the band, whose other members are Craig Howson on bass and backing vocals, Rich Goss on drums and Dean Lodge on lead vocals.
Watch out for a change in name as these boys try to make it big.
