A young karting enthusiast is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Lewis Hamilton at the UK's biggest national competition.
Brendan Pattison, 13, of George Street, Worsbrough Dale, has only been karting for 18 months but is already second in two club championships and fifth in a national championship.
On July 9 he claimed maximum points in a race at Wombwell. He is currently looking for sponsorship to compete in the Kartmasters British Grand Prix in Lincoln, which Lewis Hamilton won in 1996, and which will be broadcast on national television.
Sponsors' logos would be displayed on his kart. Mum Cheryl, 39, said Brendan had been obsessed with racing since he was six and had come home from a careers advice lesson recently adamant he wanted to be an F1 driver.
