ELITE AFC made it three wins in a row in the Central Midlands League with a 3-0 success at home to Worksop Town reserves.
The Cudworth club have 13 points from seven games and are sixth, with games in hand on most of the teams above them.
Robbie Wood struck twice then Fabio Fad added a third before half-time at the Dorothy Hyman stadium.
Manager Shane Pallett said: “We’ve picked up a bit in the last few weeks and this was a really good win.
“We’re finding different ways to win now and, in the previous seasons, that hasn’t been there.
“They are still young but they have matured now.
“Before when we didn’t play well, we generally lost.
“Now we’re a lot better at grinding out results.
“The lads have been together a lot of years but they are hitting 22 or 23 and becoming men.
“The aim would be the same as 15 or 16 other teams in the league – we want to win it.
“We’ve had a sticky start with injuries and other absences.
“But we’ve had a full bench in the last three games.”
Elite are hoping to go up the divisions in the future, with the Northern Counties East League being the level above.
“We’re going to take baby steps like we have done in the three years since we were formed.
“But the aim is to take the club forward on and off the field and be noticed.
“The biggest task is to bring Cudworth and the community along with us.
“We need to find different ways of doing that.
“We have a cafe and a players’ bar at the ground now.
“The NCEL is the next goal but not the end goal.
“We would prefer a different route because there are lot of clubs in the NCEL spending a lot of money.
“But that is the next step on the pyramid for us.”
