A PERFORMING arts school is providing a series of masterclasses for youngsters.
Married couple Debbie and Adam Price, of Angel Voices Performing Arts Academy and Greenotes CIC respectively - have hosted a series of music industry business masterclasses.
The classes are funded by Barnsley Council Penistone Area Team, to give youngsters the opportunity to learn the business side of music - including social media, event planning, music production and making industry contacts.
Since taking part in the masterclasses, one pupil expressed her ambition to become a music lawyer, after reviewing music copyright cases.
The ambitious team are also presenting the Young voice of the year competition on March 14, working on sound, lighting, staging and more.
Debbie and Adam will be on the sidelines to ensure that everything runs smoothly - whist giving the children chance to take centre stage.
Auditions will be held on February 7, at St John’s Community Centre, Penistone, at 4.30pm.
Talented youngsters can take their unique skills to the stage, with singers, comedians, rappers, speakers and more welcome.
The competition will benefit a re-wilding project, aiming to plant wildflowers to brighten up green spaces - benefitting Thurgoland Village Welfare.
Masterclass pupils will have the once in a lifetime opportunity that most young creatives can only dream of - when they record and produce a song in a £30m London-based recording studio this February.
Sessions have been running since September last year and will conclude this September.
Debbie Price said: “The masterclasses have been going very well.
“The Penistone Area Team are so excited about giving the kids this opportunity.
“Everyone is really enjoying taking part.”
