Barnsley have signed China youth international Xu Bin on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers for the remainder of the season as an under 21s player.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined Wolves last week from Qingdao West Coast having played in the Chinese top flight. He has also represented his country at under 23 level 17 times.
He signed during the January transfer window so could play for the first team but it is understood he will be used purely as a development loan for the youth sides. He can also still play for Wolves’ development teams.
The Reds are expected to announce a similar deal in the near future for another player.
