OUR search to find the inspirational young people of Barnsley is now well and truly underway.

The Chronicle has teamed up with Barnsley College and other local businesses and organisations to run the Young Champions awards which have gone from strength-to-strength since we relaunched them two years ago.

If you know a young person who really deserves some credit for all their hard work, now is the time to put them forward.

Nominees will be featured in the paper, before our panel of judges pull together a shortlist. A combination of judges’ votes and a public vote will then be used to decide the final winners.

We will also be handing out the Outstanding Young Champion award on the night for one youngster whose achievements have wowed judges and earned them some additional, special recognition.
