THOUSANDS of households from across Barnsley are set to be delivered their food through a robot.
Starship Technologies has partnered with Just Eat to roll out a pilot scheme in Carlton, Athersley, Monk Bretton and Lundwood - bringing self-driving delivery robots to local streets.
The launch will initially see a small number of the orange, talking robots serving thousands of residents within minutes.
A number of local restaurants are taking part including The Codfather, The Wingman’s Fried Chicken and The Davy Lamp.
